Why Nitrile Glove Prices are Ticking Up

We wanted to give you a quick update on what’s happening in the glove market. Lately, the cost of making nitrile gloves has been climbing. This is mainly because the raw materials (nitrile rubber latex) are getting more expensive, and energy and shipping costs aren’t helping either.

Usually, there’s a bit of a delay between when oil prices go up and when glove prices change. But now that raw material costs have stayed high, manufacturers are starting to adjust their pricing to keep production sustainable.

Think of it as a ripple effect: Crude Oil → Petrochemicals → Nitrile Rubber → Your Gloves. As long as oil prices stay high, we’ll likely see this pressure continue. We expect to see some moderate price increases in the coming months, even as demand stays strong across the board.
